In a recent survey, one in four Brits confessed to having sex on kitchen surfaces and work tops.

The study, carried out by UK domestic appliance brand, Indesit, suggests that the kitchen really is the hottest place in the home after they surveyed 1,200 people on their kitchen habits.

“We are aware that the kitchen is the hub of the home, although this research indicates it is clearly seeing the most action in the house,” Ian Moverley a Spokesperson for the brand commented.

The British public also confessed to dropping food on the floor and continuing to serve the damaged food to guests. One survey participant admitted to dropping her boyfriend’s burger in the cat food bowl before dishing it up. Another knocked the Christmas turkey onto the floor, then wiped it off and served the bird to an unsuspecting family.

Indesit also asked people about their most memorable kitchen movie moments; with a quarter saying Mrs. Doubtfire’s when she set fire to her fake chest. In close second were scenes, starring Michael Douglas and Glen Close, from Fatal Attraction.
